Staple Pigeon NYC, 2021

The Make-A-Pigeon 2021 contest, hosted by Jeff Staple and NTWRK took place in May. The brief for artists and designers was to reimagine and reinterpret the iconic Staple pigeon. The contest had 250+ submissions and the pigeon I created was selected to be in the top 8. It went through rounds of voting on Instagram and eventually made it into first place, winning an exclusive collaboration with Staple 🎉 The artwork was printed and sold exclusively through the NTWRK app on Staple Day in June.

The design reads “Kabootar“ which means pigeon in Punjabi and is constructed using the Gurmukhi script. The colors are borrowed from the Staple Pigeon logo to give it more of a pigeon feel.

Staple was founded by Jeff Staple in 1997. It is a streetwear brand which aims to capture original elegance from the soul of New York and cities all across the world. Staple is streetwear that captures the never-ending energy of city life. Thank you to Staple and the community.
